Luanda – Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) and Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) marked Wednesday a new step in the strengthening of bilateral cooperation with the signing of an Memorandum of Understanding between both news agencies.
The document was signed by the minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Mass Communication, Manuel Homem and the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Jo Pyong Chol.
In the ceremony were also present the secretary of State for Mass Media, Nuno Caldas Albino, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as ANGOP CEO, Josué Isaías, and executive directors of the Angolan news agency.
To minister Manuel Homem, the act is part of the agenda of strengthening relations between both countries, emphasizing that both news agencies have a key role in broadcasting news content related to the two nations.
On his turn, the North Korean ambassador to Angola, Jo Pyong Chol, also included this move in the framework of cooperation strengthening between both countries.
