Luanda – Angolan minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication Manuel Homem extended for another 120 days the deadlines for the management commission of Media Nova Group (TV Zimbo, Jornal o País and Rádio Mais), after completion of the initial 120-day period, which started in August.
In his Order, dated 9 December, the minister states that the extension of the deadlines is to allow the management commissions to conclude the restructuring and sanitation processes.
The objective is to ensure the sustainability of the economic and financial information for the allocation of the recovered assets.
According to the document, the extension of the term extends until the conclusion of all acts that contribute to the restructuring of the companies until the submission of the final Report with concrete economic information of the real sale value of the companies.
In turn, the management commission of the Interactive Empreendimentos Multimédia LDA Group (Tv Palanca and Rádio Global) has received 90 days to complete the process of defining, overcoming and evaluating the technical and functional compliance related to Rádio Global and to ensure all legal formalities for the incorporation of human resources and all technical assets of the group on Public Television in Angola.
The Media Nova group (TV Zimbo, Rádio Mais and the newspaper O País) and the Interactive Empreendimentos Multimédia LDA Group (TV Palanca and Rádio Global) were transferred to the State ownership, as part of the asset recovery process, created with public funds.
