Luanda - The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, lamented on Friday, in Luanda, the death of the journalist of the Public Television of Angola (TPA), Manuela Lemos, victim of illness.
According to a note sent to ANGOP, on behalf of the MINTTICS team, the minister addresses his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and TPA professionals.
The statement said that the professional leaves a huge void in the reference and continuity of Angolan journalism.
'Marinete' as she was affectionately called by those closest to her, she was admitted to the TPA staff in the late 90s as a continuity presenter, a task that she performed with distinction and that allowed her to rise and become a reference television professional in Angola.
For several years, Manuela Lemos was a prominent professional in the area of information, where she presented programs such as Ecos & Factos, Janela Aberta, Jornal África and África Hoje.
Manuela Lemos was the first Miss Luanda in 1997 and in 1998 she participated in the Miss World contest where she was in the ranking of the 50 most beautiful women on the planet. AMC/PA/DOJ
