Mário Augusto da Silva Oliveira recommended continued investment in the multimedia sector and particularly in the streaming services and on social networks with contents related to the daily life of the communities.

In another area, the governor acknowledged the impact of the reforms made by ANGOP´s management, mainly technological, but promised to continue working to guarantee the strength of the company and the improvement of the working conditions.

He highlighted, however, the need to continue working towards the creation of the company´s own facilities, a matter that he promised to present to the central government structures.

The Media minister encouraged also the increase of training staff in journalism, multimedia and administration fields, so that employees can do their job better.

On his turn, the ANGOP´s CEO, Josué Isaías stated that the news agency company will keep working and contribute as much as possible to carry Angola´s good name beyond borders.

“The companies are aligned to make the country grow”, expressed Josué Isaías, stressing that ANGOP´s management will not fold its arms and will push ahead with its projects.

In this monitoring visit, Mário Augusto da Silva Oliveira was accompanied by the State Secretary for Media, Nuno Caldas and other representatives of the ministerial department.

Before ANGOP, the minister, appointed on the 16th of this month, visited the premises of Angola National Radio station (RNA) and Edições Novembro state-owned newspaper publishing company.

The Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) is a public company whose main objective is to collect, process and distribute news.
