Luanda - The Angolan government intends to turn higher education institutions into executors of the program to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, Minister Maria do Rosário Bragança said Friday in Luanda Province.
According to the minister, the government is counting on the support of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which is implementing a project to create a curriculum on entrepreneurship in higher education.
Speaking to the press on the sidelines of a technology and innovation session of the first season of Connections Programme, an initiative that aims to strengthen and promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Angola.
Maria do Rosário Bragança said the project involves four higher education institutions and already has a tool to support business incubators in drawing up their strategic plans.
The Connections Program served to present six different technological projects and analyze the “World Trends in Technology and Innovation”, facilitating links between entrepreneurs, investors, funders and others.
It aims to create a favorable environment for the growth and development of startups and innovative businesses, boosting entrepreneurship and innovation throughout Angola.
