Uíge - The Minister of State for Social Affairs, Maria do Rosário Bragança, reiterated Friday the reform of the country's Agricultural Technical Institutes to better contribute to the diversification of the economy and transformation of the productive matrix.
According to the director, the process involves the rehabilitation and modernization of the institutes in question, training of the teaching staff and the introduction of a new curriculum for agricultural training.
Speaking at the opening of the 2024/2025 academic year, the official said the reform is part of the Agricultural and Rural Training Support Project (PAFAR) under the French government and the European Union support.
The measure, the minister said, is intended to reinforce the skills of staff and promote the employability of young people, especially in the agriculture sector.
The academic year opened on August 30 under the motto “Valuing the Voices of Teachers, Towards a New Social Contract for Education” was witnessed by the Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, lawmakers, national directors, municipal administrators, religious entities and representatives of political parties.
