Luanda - A pilot project called "Valor Criança" will be implemented over the next three years in six municipalities in the provinces of Uíge, Bié and Moxico.
To be developed by the Ministry of Social Action, Family and Women's Promotion (MASFAMU) and UNICEF, the project will benefit 20,000 children from 18,000 families.
It aims to provide a good start in life for children, including improved nutrition.
It also aims to measure the impact of Social Cash Transfers (TSM) on the lives of the beneficiaries.
According to a MASFAMU press release, to which ANGOP has had access, the pilot project is part of the strengthening of strategies to prevent and combat sexual abuse and violence against children.
For that purpose, Minister Faustina Alves held a meeting last Friday with the new UNICEF representative in Angola, Ivan Yerovi.
