Luanda - The Ministry for Family and Promotion of Women (MASFAMU) on Sunday highlighted the role of African women in the preservation and transmission of civic and moral values and in strengthening the cohesion and unity of families as the fundamental nucleus of society.
In a message to which ANGOP had access, in the scope of the African Women´s Day (31 July), MASFAMU said that the African woman, especially the Angolan, has always played a relevant role in sustainable development, becoming an indispensable key for the continuous growth of nations.
“The brave African women, who always put aside their ideals to defend those who need it most and fight for the development of their countries, remain in the frontline at all times, whether political, social or economic, to safeguard their well-being and that of their families”, reads the message.
To consolidate democracy, brotherhood, solidarity, mutual respect and understanding aiming to build Africa, MASFAMU calls for the strengthening of national unity.
Meanwhile, the Ministry for Family and Promotion of Women (MASFAMU) stressed that this occasion celebrates the achievements and struggles for human rights of females and for equal rights as a fundamental aspect for the improvement of the condition of women in Africa.
