Luanda - The Ministry of Social Action, Family and Women Promotion (MASFAMU) plans the creation of more sheltering centres throughout the country, aimed at the strengthening of the mechanisms to follow up victims of gender violence.
According to the Secretary of State, Elsa Barber, who was speaking during the opening of the commemorations of the International Women's Day, there are many barriers in the insertion of girls in the processes of education, sexual and reproductive health, a factor that hinders their affirmation in their communities.
For this purpose, the Government has developed measures directed to the sexual and reproductive health of women and girls, such as the elaboration of integral action plans for adolescent health in the policies of youth, equality and gender equity.
Elsa Barber stressed that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought with it social problems such as family disintegration, the avoidance of fatherhood and motherhood, the increase in cases of domestic violence, among other situations.
