Cabinda - The reverend of the Evangelical Church of Angola (IEA), Luís Nguimbi, deplored on Sunday, in the city of Cabinda, the wave of vandalization of public property that is being witnessed all over the country and calls on the competent authorities to take measures to reverse this situation.
Speaking to the press, as part of his two-day pastoral visit to Cabinda, Luís Nguimbi urged religious and traditional authorities to join similar entities in combating this phenomenon.
'It is deplorable that we witness every day the destruction of public property that the Executive makes available to us. We must roll up our sleeves to combat the vandalization of property,' he said.
For the reverend, vandalization actions are usually committed by individuals duly identified in the neighborhoods, but, unfortunately, they are not reported by the residents' committees.
To this end, Luís Nguimbi requested greater collaboration from society with the authorities, denouncing those he called 'enemies of development'.
In his opinion, actions that compromise the economic and social development of the country should be condemned and the perpetrators held criminally responsible. JFC/JL/DOJ
