Caxito - A project aimed at building public lighting using solar panels was launched in the town of Quimuenga, municipality of Bula Atumba, province of Bengo.
The work will last 90 days, and will have 6-meter poles with a depth of one meter, a 150 W light, a distance between the poles on the public road of 4 meters and the asphalt of 2 meters, according to the company's manager, Velhinho da Gama.
As part of the Integrated Local Development and Combating Poverty program, PIDLCP, the work will cost the State coffers around 40 million Kwanzas ($40k US).
The project plans to cover all locations in the municipality without lighting, the municipal administrator, Joaquim Cangulo Domingos said.
The initiative will contribute to improving the circulation of people and goods, the development and social well-being of the population, he highlighted.
The contractor asked for seriousness and speed in the execution of the project so that the community can enjoy the property within the established deadlines.
To implement the work, the company recruited 90% local labor.
The municipality of Bula Atumba has an estimated population of 19 464 inhabitants. IF/CF/DOJ
