Luau - At least 472 million Kwanzas is the amount that 18,533 families from Luau municipality, Moxico province, are receiving, since Wednesday, under the scope of the Social Monetary Transfer programme called "Kwenda".
The information is from the Social Support Fund (FAS) director in Moxico, Simão Baita Paiata, who pointed out that since the beginning of the payments, amounting to 25,500 kwanzas per household, 8,304 families from the localities of Marco 25, Chipuica, Sachicucu, Mucussueji, Chiena and the Sede sector have been assisted.
The payments will go until 10 January 2022.
The process counts with the involvement of 58 Community and Health Development Agents (ADECOS), as well as technicians from the Lutheran Federation and faithful of the Church of the Brethren of Angola (IEIA).
The 93 years old lady, Adelaide Culianga, who received the monetary values, of 25.500 Kwanzas, intends to develop the agricultural activity, with acquisition of seeds and agricultural instruments, for the sustenance of her children and grandchildren.
Meanwhile, Cainda Cambaji, head of a household with 10 members, said he will spend the money to buy food, clothes, shoes and create a small business, together with his wife, in his home door.
The municipal administrator of Luau, Filomena Miza, has committed to supervise, in communion with the ADECOS, the investments of these values given to the families.
