Luanda - The Kibabo business group intends to create 2,000 new direct jobs across the country by 2030, the chairman of the board of directors, Pedro Mateus, announced Friday in the Province of Luanda.
Speaking to the press on the occasion of the celebration of 12 years of existence of this group in Angola, he said that with these new jobs, Kibabo will have a total of 4,000 direct jobs.
Pedro Mateus said that to achieve this goal, without advancing numbers, they will open stores in various parts of the country, most of which will be centralized in the province of Luanda.
He highlighted that it currently has a workforce of 2,000 workers, of which 1,490 are Angolans.
Regarding the products they sell, he informed that they are mostly national and produced locally, and this year no more than ten shipping containers of goods were imported.
To him, currently it is possible to count on national production in terms of product diversity, which is why he recommends increasing production to make the country self-sufficient.
Without going into details, he indicated that the annual turnover is around 50 million dollars.
Pedro Mateus advised national and foreign business people to invest now in the local market, so that they can get a return of their investment in the future.
With a total of 40 stores across the country, the Kibabo brand is in Angola since November 22, 2012, with the opening of the first store in the Palanca neighborhood, in Luanda.
