Luanda - A campaign to speed up the processing, issue and handover national identity card (ID) will be carried out in November, in Angola, by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.
The campaign covers children from birth to 17 years of age.
According to a note that ANGOP has had access to, the campaign called "Dipanda" will take place on Saturdays, from 8 am to 1 pm, and is part of the festivities marking the 49th anniversary of National Independence, to be marked on 11 November.
For the success of the program, the ministry urges the population to join the campaign in favour of citizenship for minors who do not yet have an ID card.
“As part of this activity, we ask for maximum collaboration in publicizing the Dipanda campaign, at a local level, making contact with schools, shelters and inmates, so that we can identify the largest number of citizens”, reads the document.
