Luanda – With the aim of promoting digital governance in Angola, the Institute for Administrative Modernisation (IMA) and the company Dell Technologies (Dell), signed a Memorandum on Friday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Memorandum was signed by the Director General of the IMA, Meick Sandro da Costa Lopes Afonso and the Vice President of Dell for Africa and, according to it, the information technology company of the United States of America (USA) will support the process of digitisation of the Angolan public administration through the provision of technology and the transfer of know-how.
It will also serve to establish comprehensive cooperation in the field of digital governance, with a view to exchanging experiences, knowledge and best practices to improve public services, digitising the economy and the business environment, as well as to support entrepreneurship, training and the enhancement of human capital skills.
On the occasion, the two institutions reinforced the importance of the partnership given the current state of the world of information technologies and emphasised the international dimension of the strategic relationship, as well as the benefits that Angola will obtain, taking into account that the Angolan government aims to improve efficiency in the provision of public services..
Institutionalised by Presidential Decree no. 80/21, of 07 April, the IMA, which is assigned to the Auxiliary Bodies of the President of the Republic, is responsible for providing technological support for administrative modernisation initiatives and projects within the framework of the State Reform process and responds, to the same extent, to the challenges of resizing the institutional public sector.
