Luanda - The Management of the Hotel Intercontinental Luanda Miramar said that its goal is gradually recruiting up to 900 employees when the projects is fully operational and the market demand arises.
The clarification comes after a high turnout packed the area surrounding the hotel seeking job on Thursday.
In a statement sent to Angop Friday, the institution informs that the recruitment process is following the best practices.
The country’s state-run news paper “Jornal de Angola”, in its editions of August 20 and September 15, announced vacancies for 85 positions in this initial phase.
So far, a database with 23,872 interested parties has been created. 3,597 of those who meet the requirements for the positions advertised have been selected, but only 150 will be hired at this stage of the project's start-up.
According to the document, the next processes will be publicized in due course, and those interested, who fulfill the established criteria, must submit their applications.
It states that the hotel will provide all the training of the hired staff, so that they are in compliance with the standard of quality of service and attendance of the group's customers spread all over the world.
Inaugurated on Wednesday by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the Intercontinental Luanda Miramar Hotel will create 900 direct jobs.
The undertaking comprises 24 floors and 377 rooms.
