Luanda - The Angolan Government on Monday, in Luanda, reiterated that from March 2025 it will pay the salaries of public servants and administrative agents readjusted by 25% with retroactive effect for the months of January and February.
The information was provided by the Secretary of State for Labour and Social Security, Pedro Filipe, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Economic Commission of the Cabinet Council, which analyzed it and will send to the National Assembly the legislative authorization bill on the general principles relating to the organization and application of the indicative structure of salary charts and subsidies or remuneration supplements for the public service.
“We have an additional amount of more than 800 billion kwanzas to cover this salary adjustment”, revealed Pedro Filipe at the time, highlighting that the maximum limit for completing this process is the end of March of this year.
He added that the readjustment aims to guarantee, respect for the principle of salary status and selective enhancement of salary range, as well as to correct the existing salary difference between civil servants and administrative agents included in the technical career and in other careers under the general civil service regime.
