Huambo - The governor of Huambo province, Pereira Alfredo, proposed on Sunday to prioritize inclusive and participatory sustainable development programs, with the involvement of churches, to promote common well-being.
The governor was speaking to the faithful of the Evangelical Congregational Church in Angola (IECA), during a worship service held in the temple of the Pastorate Sede Missão Académico, in the city of Huambo.
On the occasion, he said that he will work with religious institutions in the search for solutions to the various problems that still afflict the population, through the promotion of participatory governance.
He noted that this initiative will initially make it possible to jointly intensify awareness programs on good social practices, competing with participatory labor missions, so that it is possible to implement inclusive public policies.
Pereira Alfredo promised to continue to strengthen the partnership with the churches, for the joint consolidation of community development projects, through the democratization and valorization of contributory ideas, focused on strategies to improve the living conditions of the population.
He defended the need for greater unity between the churches and the Government, in order to move in the same direction, in terms of social provision and public services, for the humanization of communities.
He said that religious confessions, as privileged partners of the State, should continue to invest in the academic training of man, in the moralization of society and in the preservation of the heritage público.LT/JSV/ALH/DOJ
