Huambo - At least 250 kilometres of secondary and tertiary roads of the 11,000 identified, have been repaired by the government of Huambo in order to improve the circulation create greater fluidity, ANGOP learned Tuesday.
The contract includes earthworks, soil compaction, and covering up holes, amongst others, in all of the municipalities of the central plateau, which since April 2020 have presented a more pleasant scenario.
The intervention in the access roads is being carried out by the administrations of the 11 municipalities of Huambo province, as part of the earthmoving kits distributed by the Ministry for Public Works and Territorial Planning to the provincial governments.
The equipment includes backhoe loaders, dump trucks, water tanks, rollers and graders.
In order to assess the level of execution of some of these projects, the Huambo governor, Lotti Nolika, today checked the work underway on the section that links the municipal capital of Londuimbali to the commune of Galanga, over a distance of 34 kilometres, and the other 40 kilometres of the Candende/Chacuma and Santa Cruz/Doluca road, the latter locations inside Bailundo municipality.
The governor said that amongst the works already concluded were the sections of the municipal headquarters of Ecunha/Petróleo, Chicala-Cholohanga/Sambo, Sambo/Samboto and Chinjenje/Chiyaka.
