Luanda - The government of the Province of Luanda (GPL) Friday is due to hold a meeting of the Consultation Council for the presentation of the strategy for implementation of the solid waste management model.
According to a press release from GPL, distributed Thursday to ANGOP, the meeting will be held as part of the actions to reorganise the system of collection and management of solid waste, social mobilisation and community awareness.
The activity will be held at the National School of Administration and Public Policy (ENAPP) and will be attended by the governor of Luanda province, Joana Lina Ramos Baptista Cândido.
In recent months, the scenario that Luanda lives is of rubbish scattered in the streets, containers removed from the usual points, smoke resulting from the setting on fire of piles of solid waste, by some municipalities, to prevent the worms from penetrating the residences.
