The party, which also brought together family members of this section of the society, was attended by the governor of Cabinda, Suzana de Abreu, as part of Solidarity Christmas.
At the time, she recognized their contribution in the national liberation struggle that resulted in the proclamation of national independence on November 11, 1975.
“It is a simple gesture, but one of great symbolism, as it aims to convey our affection to all those who sacrificed their lives for the benefit of the Angolan nation”, he expressed, adding that the Government is not oblivious to the problems that still afflict this fringe of the society.
Music, dances and gift giving marked the end of this activity that left former combatants and those they family members in this part of the national territory euphoric. ING/JFC/JL/MRA/DOJ
