Huambo- The governor of the central Huambo province, Lotti Nolika on Thursday urged managers to commit to the well-being of the population and promote sustainable development.
Speaking after swearing in of the new administrator of Sambo commune (Chicala-Cholohanga), António Cahiti, the governor instructed the municipal and commune administrators to take on their missions with greater responsibility to continuously monitor the social and economic projects defined for the progress of the communities.
The governor spoke of the need to work for the benefit of the population, identifying the main problems and then drawing up strategies to solve them, with a focus on satisfying citizens' needs.
The new administrator of the Sambo commune, António Cahiti, pledged to rigorously follow the sustainable development plans and to continue the social and economic programs underway in that administrative division.
The Huambo provincial government has an overall budget estimated at 160 billion Kwanzas, compared to the 134 billion Kwanzas allocated in 2023.
The priority is to conclude the 33 projects of the Integrated Municipal Intervention Plan (PIIM) that are currently halted, out of a total of 277 catalogued by the National Directorate for Public Infrastructure Investments (DNIP). LT/JSV/ALH/TED/AMP
