Cuito - The governor of the central province of Bié, Celeste Adolfo, on Monday urged the new local administrators of the state to prioritize the improvement of basic sanitation and to listen more to the population in order to solve socio-economic problems.
The governor made the statement at the swearing-in ceremony of the new administrators recently appointed under the new Political-Administrative Division, after calling for greater creativity and solidarity in solving the problems that affect local families, and to adopt a rigorous management of financial and human resources, especially in the education and health sectors.
The governor swore in Ângela Ucueianga as the new administrator of Cuito, António Jacob Mutali as the administrator of Catabola, Madalena Wanga da Silva as the administrator of Cuemba and Admaica Rodé da Silva for the municipality of Chicala.
Also sworn in were Jacinto Estanislau Alberto, as administrator of Luando, Delfina Chemba Murrayn, for Ringoma, Mariano Essuvo Chova David, for Umpulo, and Paulino Jamba Essacalalo, for Cambândua.
Celeste Elavoko Adolfo also swore in Alfredo Cussumba Vieira Capitango for Lúbia, Hermenegilda Natércia Cristina for Mumbué, Bernabé Sachipili Chimalanji for Belo-Horizonte and Elisa Cambundo da Graça Segunda for Calucinga.
With the new political-administrative division, Bié now has 19 municipalities, compared to the previous nine, namely Cuito, Chicala, Cambândua, Chitembo, Mumbwé, Cunhinga, Belo-Horizonte, Andulo, Calussinga, Catabola, Chipeta, Camacupa, Ringoma, Umpulo, Cuemba, Luando, Nhârea, Lúbia and Chinguar.JEC/PLB/DAN/AMP
