Menongue - The governor of the province of Cuando-Cubango, José Martins, demanded dynamic, inclusive, communicative and transparent management from municipal administrators, aimed at resolving people’s problems.
The governor made this demand when the recently appointed new public managers were sworn in, a ceremony that took place in the provincial government's main meeting room.
This is the new head of the Urban Infrastructure Conservation department of the Provincial Infrastructure and Technical Services Office, Ana Maria Pedro Fernandes, and the administrator of the commune of Jamba Cueio, municipality of Menongue, Almeida da Costa Paulino.
The deputy administrator of the commune of Missombo (Menongue), Cecília Mutango, and the Deputy Communal Administrator of Cutuilo, municipality of Mavinga, Pedro Tchinoia, also took office.
José Martins noted that municipal managers must streamline the processes, both for the promotion of staff and for local economic development, so that the populations benefit from the policies outlined by the Angolan Executive.
He said it was important to pay deep attention to the dynamization of work and the search for mechanisms that contribute to the territorial development of the province, considering the final phase that lies ahead, of the Political Administrative Division, where the territory of Cuando Cubango will be divided into two provinces.
He recalled that this division will result in the elevation of some communes to the category of municipalities, having, on the other hand, requested greater publicity of the potential and the great achievements that are being carried out in the province, to attract national and foreign investors.
It understands that attracting national and foreign investors will contribute to the rapid social and economic development of this region in southeastern Angola.
Finally, the governor asked those inducted for commitment, dedication and zeal in carrying out their tasks, bearing in mind that they will be at the service of the people and not serve yourselves.
The ceremony was witnessed by vice-governors, provincial delegates, a representative of the municipal administration of Menongue, advisors, among other guests. LMZ/ALK/FF/PLB/CF/DOJ
