Luena - The provincial governor of Moxico, Gonçalves Muandumba, Monday told the new municipal administrator of Moxico to put an end to the phenomenon of illegal occupation of land in the city of Luena.
The governor, who was speaking at the ceremony in which he inaugurated the new municipal administrators of Moxico (head office), Quintas Sempieca, and of Cameia, Antônio Fidel Chinhama, said he was noticing the growth of conflicts in land management, mainly in the occupation of State land reserves.
In order to reverse the situation, Gonçalves Muandumba demanded greater action from the administrations, acting in accordance with the law in force in the country.
He also recommended more dialogue with the residents, boosting the residents' committees, as well as establishing more openness with the press, in order to solve the communities' problems.
On another side, the governor asked for more attention to the improvement of the basic sanitation, mainly in Luena, encouraging the participation in the process of sanitation of the city, through the payment of taxes.
On the occasion, the new Moxico administrator, Quintas Sempieca, promised that during his administration he will involve the citizens to identify together the priorities.
