Malanje - School managers and teachers in Malanje have been participating since today in a day of educating, which aims to analyze school health from the perspective of educational management, towards the strengthening of collective awareness and teaching in the formation of man.
Promoted by the Provincial Office of Education, the event is part of the celebrations of the national day of the educator, to be marked on the 22nd of this month and aims to encourage education agents for the continuous search for knowledge, taking into account the current educational and social demand in the country.
For three days, participants will address issues such as the imperative for students' school success, causes, consequences and different forms of violence at school, the social function of the school in the information society, the emergence of new paradigms and subsidies for an effective management model in educational institutions, among others.
At the opening, the deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic sector, Franco Mufinda considered education as a factor of social and human development, hence the need for teachers to reflect on their role in the formation of man to face the challenges of the modern world.
'As educators, teachers are architects of the future, so they must be increasingly involved in the training of young people and remain firm in ethics, science, deontology and in the humanization of the exercise of teaching', he stressed.
Franco Mufinda pointed out pedagogical innovation and differentiated approaches to teaching as fundamental elements for the success of teaching and learning, so teachers must adapt this process to the needs and contexts of students, in the face of the constant social changes that are registered in the country.
On the other hand, he called on education managers to overcome their skills and competences, and to make the most of the open day, as well as other future training actions, in addition to promoting digital education in educational institutions, so that students are increasingly connected with information and communication technologies.
In turn, the director of the Provincial Office of Education, Manuel Osório said that the event aims to reflect the profile of the teacher as an agent of social transformation, as well as to promote digital education in the school environment.
However, he recognized the dedication and effort of the teachers who daily impress in the face of the demanding challenges and transformations that are imposed for the promotion of quality education.
The event takes place under the motto 'Valuing the voices of teachers, towards a new social contract for education' and it is attended by officials from the Provincial Education Office, school managers, teachers, parents, guardians, among other guests. RM/NC/DOJ
