Ondjiva – At least 13.6 million euros is the amount to be applied in the implementation of five new projects related to food and nutritional security in Cunene province, in the first quarter of 2022.
Under the programme for Strengthening Resilience and Food and Nutritional Security in Angola (Fresan), the projects will be implemented in five of the six municipalities of Cunene province, with the exception of Namacunde.
The information was provided on Monday by the coordinator of Fresan in Cunene, Estela Louçã, noting that the process of selecting entities for the implementation of actions is currently underway.
Speaking at the 5th meeting of the Multisectoral Technical Group, she said that the actions are based on the strategies of production and recovery of biodiversity for the improvement of food and nutritional security, reduction of nutritional vulnerability through community surveillance and access to water sources.
