Capenda-Camulemba – The governor of Lunda-Norte, Filomena Miza, called on Tuesday for discipline and creativity in the execution of municipal budgets, taking into account the country's economic and financial situation.
She made this statement during a meeting of the Community Hearing Council of the Capenda-Camulemba municipality in the scope of her work visit in that side of the province, highlighting that the current economic scenario “should not stop the resolution of the population’s basic social problems”.
The government stated that it is necessary to redouble the efforts of all those who manage public funds to fully comply with the actions created in the different programmes for the current economic period.
“We have to work with what we have with discipline, responsibility and transparency, seeking experiences from other municipalities that, with the same budget, can solve the population's problems without waiting for billions of Kwanzas”, she concluded.
During the meeting, participants advocated the need to prioritize the completion of unfinished works, expansion of the electricity and water network, improvement of access roads, support for the investment of family farming, more schools and health units.
The two-day field trip in the municipality of Capenda-Camulemba, which began today, includes visits to several social enterprises, with emphasis on the Municipal Hospital, the Laboratory of the Institute of Agrarian Development, school establishments and mining projects. HD/MRA/DOJ
