Malanje - Thousands of believers from the United Methodist Church of the Western Angola Annual Conference began Friday climbing to the city of Malanje, for a pilgrimage to the Quéssua Mission, for spiritual revival and encouragement to God.
The three-day pilgrimage will take place under the motto "Angolan Episcopate, 52 years proclaiming Christ in difficult times" and will bring together believers from different parts of Angola, as well as other parts of the world.
The pilgrimage is part of the celebrations of the 52nd anniversary of the Autochthonous Angolan Methodist Episcopate, celebrated on the 21st month of this month, the opening of which will be marked with a lecture on the Life and work of the church’s emeritus bishop Emílio de Carvalho.
The program includes personal group prayer and meditation, a breast cancer prevention march, as well as exchanges of experiences about Christian life among the believers and a cultural evening session.
The pilgrims will also hold audiences with the provincial governor, Marcos Nhunga and the archbishop of Malanje, Dom Luzizila Kiala.
