Luena - Angolan Government will continue to promote public policies, with a view to economic integration and improving the living conditions of young people.
The government pledge was made Sunday in Luena, eastern Moxico province, by Secretary of State for Youth, Francisco Boaventura Tchitapa.
The youth leader was speaking during the closing ceremony of the “April Jovem” activity – dedicated to the Angolan youth - under the motto “Patriotic, Solidarity and Developed Youth”.
He said that the Executive remains focused on promoting the economic integration of young people, creating job opportunities, fostering entrepreneurship , with stress to agriculture, farming and manufacturing industry.
In his speech, Francisco Boaventura Tchitapa referred to the expansion of access to subsidized credit aimed to reinforce the young business class and encourage the creation of cooperatives of entrepreneurs.
Tchitapa highlighted the actions carried out during the “April Jovem” day, such as the promotion of reflections around sustainable development.
He added that the move allowed instilling in young people the values of defending and consolidating peace and democracy, national unity and political, economic and social stability of the country.
Essa iniciativa, disse, permitiu a formação de mil e 951 jovens, dos 523 do sexo femenino, de quatro províncias do país, nomeadamente Uíge, Namibe, Bié e Moxico, afirmando que, pela sua relevância , essas formações poderão ser contínuas, para alcançar maior número de jovens de todo território nacional.
According to the official, during this period, activities were also carried out in favour of the education of young people, which took the form of training on business creation and management, entrepreneurship, education and financial inclusion, among others.
This initiative, he said, allowed the training of 1,951 young people, 523 of whom were female, from four provinces of the country, namely Uíge, Namibe, Bié and Moxico.
The Secretary of State considered it necessary to continuously promote a campaign to exalt patriotism, combat illiteracy, excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages, early pregnancies, human trafficking and crime.
On the other hand, he encouraged the best use of social networks as a tool for socializing and solidifying learning and thinking among youth, avoiding attacks on honor, the good name of people and State institutions.
