Cazenga – The national director for Social Action, Family and Woman Promotion, Santa Ernesto, said Thursday, in Luanda, that the Government values and will continue to support social responsibility that are developed by companies and other institutions for the well-being of populations.
She was speaking to the press in the scope of the 3rd Forum on Patronage Law, that took place in Cazenga municipality in Luanda Province, an initiative of the Association of Organizations for Activities and Support for the Needy (AOAAN).
According to the government official, around the world, large and small companies invest internally in social actions to implement policies with the aim of ensuring sustainable development where they operate, as well as the progress of communities.
“These actions, approved in the interest of the State with the participation of civil society as beneficiaries of the projects, are projected to bring added value in the fight against poverty”, she highlighted.
On the occasion, the government official clarified that the Patronage Law establishes a legal regime of tax incentive and support from the State with the objective of fostering, valuing and promoting the development of the social, cultural, sports, educational, youth, technological and information sectors.
When lecturing on the topic “Social actions of companies in the communities”, the technician from the Social Action National Board, encouraged companies and other organizations to promote social actions to benefit the communities.

“It is important that companies and other organizations carry out actions that can overcome some difficulties and problems identified in communities. The Government is one, there are public and private companies, hence the need for everyone to collaborate to reduce the effects resulting from poverty and the vulnerability of families”, she highlighted.
At the event, which took place under the motto “With a view to community development and vulnerable families”, topics related to the Government's vision for the social sector, the Patronage Law, the social responsibility of companies in communities, among others, were discussed.
It was attended by officials from the Ministry of Social Action, from the General Tax Administration (AGT), business people, among other guests. PLA/MCN/MRA/DOJ
