Cuito - Seven national citizens were arrested in the municipality of Cuito, Bié province, on charges of vandalism and theft of public property, in Cuito city, the provincial capital.
Those involved were presented Saturday to the press, by the Department of Investigation and Criminal Offenses (DIIP), assigned to the provincial command of the National Police.
The specialist of the Institutional Communication and Press Office of the National Police in Bié, 1st Deputy Chief Justo Cassina Etole, said that the alleged criminals vandalized several goods, mostly electrical material installed on public roads and in state infrastructures.
In the possession of the accused, 105 street lamps, 57 large circuit breakers, 63 single-pole circuit breakers, four quadruple circuit breakers, 125 ballasts, 115 sockets, 55 connectors of various types and 365 switches were recovered.
Three fuse boxes, 32 junction boxes, eight switchgear cups, two frames, 51 turnbuckles of various types, 14 supports, 20 pass-through fuses, six lamp covers, 689 clamps, a meter, three-line inverters, two water heaters, 65 overhead and underground rollers, as well as two motorized ones, were also seized.
