Cuito – The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) arrested, this Tuesday, in the municipality of Angulo, central Bié Province, a citizen accused of burying his mother alive.
A 49 year-old, the individual was on the run for two days.
According to SIC spokesperson, Simão Lucas Londaca, at this moment, the public order forces are trying to capture others involved.
The case occurred last Sunday, in the village of Sulambanda (Andulo), in which a 73 year-old woman, accused of practicing witchery, was buried alive by her own son and other individuals.
The deceased was placed in the grave, above the urn containing the remains of one of the grandchildren, whom she is accused of having killed, a fact that motivated the son to take “justice” into his own hands.
The case was reported by a local traditional authority.
