Huambo - A 32-year-old woman was arrested on Friday by the Police in Londuimbali municipality, central Huambo province, accused of killing and eating parts of her 11-month-old son's body, ANGOP has learnt.
The arrest resulted from an anonymous complaint, which reported the occurrence of a qualified homicide, the Police said, adding that after killing her son with a Machete the perpetrator decided to fry and cook the internal organs (lungs and brain) which she later ended up eating.
When asked about the motivations that led her to commit the act, according to the note, she was unable to explain, presenting distorted versions, with strong signs of mental instability.
The perpetrator was presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office for legal procedures.
This is the first case reported this year by the national police across the entire territorial extension of the province of Huambo, with an estimated population of 2,800,000 inhabitants, distributed across 11 municipalities.
