Uíge - MPs of the Uíge Provincial Circle on Friday highlighted the role of the Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) in disseminating news that portrays the reality of the province and the country in various areas.
This was recognized by MP Nazaré dos Anjos, who led a delegation of MPs from the ruling MPLA and opposition UNITA in a visit to ANGOP provincial office in Uíge.
Nazaré dos Anjos said they were impressed by the level of organization and work at this media outlet, allowing other media or news channels to pick up ANGOP's content.
"In some activities, other organizations may fail, but ANGOP does not," said the MP, highlighting the quality and dynamism of the work of the agency's professionals, who are mostly young.
The MP regretted the fact that there are insufficient human resources and technical means to cover the 16 municipalities in the province, having clarified that the problems spotted in the different media in the region would be forwarded to the relevant bodies to be resolved.
At the ANGOP delegation, the MPs, accompanied by the local delegate, Jaime Reais, toured the facilities and received explanations on how the media organization works.
The delegation was made up of MPs Nazaré dos Anjos, Félix Simão Lucas and Teresa Pinto.NM/JAR/AMP
