Caxito – Eighteen tons of various products were delivered today in Caxito to families affected by the rains, in the municipality of Dande, Bengo province.
The donation was delivered by Unisocial, a social organization of the Church of the Kingdom of God in Angola (IRDA), include perishable food products and used clothing to reduce the need that these families face.
The president of Unisocial, Bishop Manuel Mendes, said that the goods delivered represent a duty fulfilled and thanked the partners for their contribution.
'The church is not going to stop here. We will always be where people need us,' he said.
The general priest of the Church of the Kingdom of God in Angola, Bishop Alberto Segunda, said that the donation represents the fulfillment of the mission of helping others, as words alone are not enough.
In addition to this donation, the National Youth Council also delivered, to those affected by the rains, various unquantified goods, the result of a national campaign carried out.
The young people attached to the MPLA party, from the urban district of Samba, also sent various goods to families in the municipality of Dande.
The municipal administrator of Dande, Domingos João Lourenço, thanked the offer and stressed that the donations will help minimize the difficulties of the populations affected by them. CJ/IF/DOJ
