Ndalatando - The Ombudsman's Office will set up a representation in Cuaanza Norte province later this year, the ombudswoman Florbela Araújo said Wednesday in Ndalatando.
According to the magistrate, the initiative is part of the institution's strategy to expand its services throughout the country and that she received assurances from the governor that a space would be made available.
The institution currently has offices in 11 of the country's 18 provinces and is faced with the need to reinforce qualified human resources.
The magistrate mentioned the excessive pre-trial detention, slow processing of legal cases, land conflicts, unfair dismissals and disputes between private individuals, among the main complaints dealt with in the sector.
Florbela Araújo said her visit to Cuanza Norte was part of a strategy to disseminate the role of the Ombudsman's Office.
