Huambo - Children in Huambo municipality on Friday called for the authorities to redouble their efforts to combat all forms of child violence in their communities through the adoption of preventive measures.
This was expressed by little Laudimira Sequesseque, during the Children's Parliament, an initiative of the local administration, with the aim of revitalizing programs for the protection of minors and promoting their healthy growth.
Representing the children of the municipality of Huambo, Laudimira Sequesseque said it was necessary for the authorities to adopt measures to prevent and respond to all forms of violence, with scrupulous fulfillment of the 11 commitments, in order to improve living conditions.

The director of the National Children's Institute (INAC) in Huambo, Eusébio Evaristo, explained that the ‘Children's Parliament’ involves minors in discussions about the public policies established by the government and, consequently, the social responsibility imposed for the protection of children in the communities.
He emphasized that the children highlighted issues related to their well-being and the need to extend preventive measures, as well as the scrupulous fulfillment of their rights, so that they can grow up healthily.
