Ombadja – Eighty needy and other street children from the village of Xangongo, municipality of Ombadja, province of Cunene, benefited, this Saturday, from a “solidarity soup”, promoted by the company "Por do Sol, in partnership with the Social Action Office.
On the occasion, the owner of the culinary company, Ana de Jesus, said that the solidarity action aimed to provide comfort and fun to homeless and disadvantaged children.
She highlighted that they intend to continue solidarity actions of this kind in the municipality, as there is a large number of people who still need support.
For her part, the municipal director of Social Action in Ombadja, Filomena Ndahangwapo, said that the gesture made it possible to minimize the food situation among these minors.
Without revealing the number, he stated that the municipality has many children in this condition, in addition to disadvantaged families who need the charitable hand of State and private institutions.
Filomena Ndahanguapo appealed to other companies and other organizations to follow the spirit of solidarity and help the majority of people living in this situation.
With a population of 394,964 inhabitants, the municipality of Ombadja is 98 kilometers from the city of Ondjiva and is divided by the communes of Xangongo (headquarters), Humbe, Naulila, Mucope and Ombala Yo Mungo.
