Talatona – First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, participated, on Saturday, in the launching ceremony of the “Bolt” community, linked to the training of women leaders and visionaries.
Created by the BAI Academy, the “Bolt” project will prepare and empower women with training in management and behavioral techniques.
Speaking to the press, the coordinating director of the BAI Academy, Wilson de Barros, said that the project is part of a program that aims to prepare female staff from public and private sector companies with the potential to join administration and supervisory bodies.
Wilson de Barros explained that the project plans, in the first phase, to impact 100 young university students who are studying the last two years of their degree, about to enter the job market.
The program, he said, will train young people with a set of skills, making them robust, strong professionals with the necessary tools to carry out the planned activities.
He explained that the 100 young women will be selected according to their grades and level of performance.
According to the coordinator, those selected will have contact with the 200 women in the Women on Boards program.
“The idea is that young women can then have contact with the Woman on Boards who occupy leadership positions in the administration”, he said.
According to the technician, the project has a stipulated quota, where affiliated women pay an annual amount that covers all needs, in terms of material and training.
The program, which will be nationwide, had its first edition in 2018, during which 197 women were trained.
Women on Boards is a partnership with the Portuguese academy Vieira de Almeida and is in its 8th edition, which since its creation has seen almost 200 women from various areas.
The BAI Academy has trained thousands of people since 2012, with around 20 thousand people attending every year.
The Women on Boards program combines a theoretical-practical approach to management, legal and behavioral matters essential to the performance of functions in administrative and supervisory bodies with a strong active and participatory learning component, which can be adapted to the specific needs of trainees.
The Launch of the Community for Women Leaders and Visionaries, organized by the BAI Academy, in Luanda, brought together more than 250 women from various social strata and also included the participation of the former minister of justice of Portugal, Francisca Van-Dúnem, deputies, businesswomen, among others.
