Luanda - The National Management Committee of the Luanda Biennale - Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace in Africa held, this Friday, an informative meeting with representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Angola.
The meeting, led by the Coordinator of the National Management Committee of the Biennial of Luanda, Sita José, and by the International Coordinator, Enzo Vincenzo Fazzino, aimed at collecting contributions and initiatives that will shape the range of activities of the Biennial.
According to a note that reached ANGOP, during the meeting, the representatives from Brazil, Portugal, Germany, Argentina and France assured that they will participate in the event, with the promotion of several cultural events, such as the Street Literature Festival, Exhibitions and music and cultural events, among other activities.
The second edition of the Luanda Biennale, to be held from 4 to 8 October this year, will have as its central theme "Arts, Culture and Heritage: Leverages for Building the Africa we want" and the initiative "Silencing the Weapons in 2030."
The Luanda Biennale is a continental event that was adopted by the Assembly of the African Union in 2015 and aims to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Agenda 2030 and, in particular, Sustainable Development Goals 16 and 17 and the aspirations of the African Union Agenda 2063.
The first edition of the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace in Africa, called the Luanda Biennale took place in September 2019 in Luanda.
