Uíge - At least eighty five people living on the outskirts of the city of Uíge have been displaced due to flooding caused by rain on Sunday night, the spokesman for the Civil Protection and Fire Services in Uíge, Júnior Changa said on Tuesday.
"There were no fatalities, but 17 homes in the Papelão and Mbemba Ngango neighbourhoods were flooded," he said whilst speaking to the press about the latest incidents caused by the rains.
He said that the data were provisional, explaining that the rescue teams were still surveying the incidents caused by the rains.
Regarding the displaced people, he said that they were settled in the homes of their relatives.
