Luena - The Benguela Railway (CFB) will interrupt, as of today (Wednesday), the circulation of trains on the Cuito-Luau route, 'for operational reasons', ANGOP learned on Tuesday.
A note from the CFB informs that the suspension will take place between the 8th, on the Cuito - Luena route, and the 9th on the Luena - Luau section, whose restoration of normality is scheduled for the 10th of this month.
According to the CFB, the suspension aims to prepare for the increase of two more passenger transport carriages on this route, with a capacity of 62 seats each.
Despite the suspension, the CFB informs that, on Thursday, the special passenger train will be in circulation on the Huambo-Luena route.
The train is the most used means of transport for people and goods between the central and eastern regions of the country, with a line of more than a thousand kilometres, which connects the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bié, Moxico and Moxico Leste.
