Malanje - Thousands of believers of the Catholic Church from various provinces of the country, on Friday began a pilgrimage to Cacuso municipality, northern Malanje province to worship God and pray for the deepening of the Christian faith.
The pilgrims began travelling to the place where they will remain until Sunday to gather around the divine and pray for the salvation of the peoples.
According to the metropolitan archbishop of Malanje, Dom Luzizila Kiala, the event will serve to deepen faith in Christ, and the pilgrimages represent spaces in which the believers experience the presence of God in their lives.
The religious leader added that during the pilgrimage, they will be looking to feel a life of prosperity and hope, having appealed to believers to flock to the site in order to provide safe conditions for the integrity of the pilgrims.
It takes place under the motto “With Mary, in communion, participation and mission, let us integrate children into the Church and society” and includes thanksgiving, entertainment, the blessing of children, rosaries and missionary work.
The program also includes talks on the history of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, the use of images in the Catholic Church and the integration of children into society.
