Huambo - Car traffic on national road 120, in the Alto Hama/Cassongue intersection has been interrupted since early afternoon of Sunday, due to the overturning of a containerized truck carrying various goods.
The road accident, according to a note from the Institutional Communication and Press office of the Interior Delegation in the province of Huambo, which arrived at ANGOP, happened two kilometers from the intersection of Cassongue, province of Cuanza-Sul, towards Huambo/Luanda.
The accident, from which the driver emerged unharmed, caused partial obstruction in both directions (upward and downward).
While work is underway to clear the road, police authorities call for collaboration and scrupulous obedience to temporary signage, in addition to the instructions of traffic officers present at the scene.
However, they advise motorists to use, as alternatives, the Bailundo-Janjo-Cassongue or even Alto Hama – Balombo routes, in the province of Benguela, leaving for Sumbe, capital of Cuanza-Sul. ALH/DOJ
