Cabinda - The Cabinda deputy governor for the political and social sector, Miguel dos Santos Oliveira, on Wednesday highlighted the role of journalists in the noble mission of training and informing with responsibility.
According to him, journalists have the responsibility to carry out their activities with ethics, professional ethics and zeal.
Miguel de Oliveira was speaking on Wednesday during the ceremony to hand over the professional licences to the province's journalists.
For the chairwoman of the Ethics Commission, Maria Luisa Rogério, the handing over of the professional licences represents the fulfilment of the mission that the institution has been striving for in order to exercise good journalism in the country.
She recalled that, journalists are not judges or figures who accuse certain people, on the contrary "we have the mission to inform with rigor in ethics and deontology or the so called profession rules".
