Caxito - A 72-year-old man was fatally attacked by a crocodile last weekend in the Dande River, in the neighborhood of Surilo, Bengo Province, fire department spokesman Costa Ngunza told ANGOP on Tuesday.
The spokesman explained that the incident happened in the riverside area of Surilo when the man left the mine and went to the river to take a shower.
In the same period, the Fire Department also recorded the drowning of two people, aged 14 and 22, in the neighborhoods of Kicola and Bula, outskirts of the city of Caxito.
Searches are underway to recover the body of the elderly man, while the two drowned bodies have already been recovered by firefighters.
The Surilo neighborhood is considered one of the main natural nurseries for caimans in the municipality of Dande. FS/CJ/PA/DAN/AMP
