Mbanza Kongo - Unidentified elements robbed the Criminal and Civil Identification office of the municipality of Nzeto, Zaire province, leaving the district without Identity Card (BI) issuance services.
Speaking to the press, Zaire's provincial delegate for Justice and Human Rights, Nicolau Sozinho, explained that the criminals took with them three data collection computers (online), an offline computer used for the campaign to massify civil identification, four cameras, three Ups and an equal number of barcode reading devices.
He informed that the related bodies are already aware of the situation and are working to recover the stolen equipment, so he asked the population to collaborate with the authorities while the process takes place.
The municipality of Nzeto is about 230 km from the city of Mbanza Kongo, capital of Zaire province.
Zaire has identity card issuing stations in the six municipal headquarters, namely Mbanza Kongo, Soyo, Cuimba, Tomboco, Nzeto and Nóqui. JL/DOJ
