Malanje - The Metropolitan Archbishop of Malanje, Dom Luzizila Kiala, appealed to citizens to celebrate Christmas with the spirit of love for others and solidarity, taking into account that many families are going through difficult situations during this festive season.
Although it is a period of joy, Christmas is experienced with certain difficulties and moments of anguish for many people, and it is in this sense that the prelate calls for social harmony.
The archbishop, who spoke at the traditional Midnight Mass, on the occasion of Christmas, said that it is imperative to live with the spiritual presence, therefore, families must be inspired by the love of Christ, who died to save humanity.
During the homily, Luzizila Kiala highlighted the need for renewal of hope and trust, this Christmas, with the faithful being a witness to God's authority before men.
For him, it is urgent for people to live as true Christians, so that the ideals of Jesus are born in the hearts of humans, living up to the union that families and communities want.
Some believers considered the homily as an inspiring guidance on forgiveness and safeguarding the gospel of God, on peace and celebrating Christmas in peace and harmony.
The Midnight Mass aimed at spiritual revival within Catholic believers and beyond and was witnessed by thousands of citizens.
However, the Catholic Church's Christmas celebration program still reserves for today, a Christmas Mass for the Lord to pray for families and the birth of Christ. NC/PBC/DOJ
