Huambo - The archbishop of Huambo, Dom Zeferino Zeca Martins, appealed Friday for good behavior of the citizens when handling new information and communication technologies, as essential vehicles for the integral formation of man.
The Catholic leader, who was speaking at the end of the scientific days of the Cristo Rei Major Seminary run under the slogan "Thinking Today about the Church of Tomorrow", stressed the importance for everyone to adopt peaceful behavior, rooted in human and spiritual values.
Bishop Zeferino Zeca Martins added that the more space people give to technologies, artificial intelligence, the internet, among others, requires greater reflection and responsibility in spreading messages, evangelization and the social well-being of citizens.
The religious leader defended the need to teach citizens about the advantages and disadvantages of using the new information and communication technologies, in order to live together more peacefully and to reduce the distortion of the messages transmitted through their use.
